Quick Answers

Remote Work & Disability FAQs

I need help right now — where do I start?

Visit our I Need Support page. It's built for people who need urgent help with housing, benefits, recovery or other crisis support, and it's the fastest way to reach us.

How do I refer someone to RemoteAbility?

Use our dedicated Refer Someone page. It's open to professionals (Jobcentre, council, housing, charity) as well as family and friends.

How do I apply for training?

Visit our Apply page and fill out the application form. This is for the Ready and Independent stages, once you're stable. We'll review your application and get in touch within 5 working days.

Do you provide emergency accommodation or rehabilitation directly?

No. We help you access the right services, complete referrals and applications, and remain supported throughout your journey — we don't deliver emergency housing or clinical treatment ourselves.

How much does support cost?

There is no cost to the people we support. RemoteAbility is funded through social investment, commissioning, client work, and partnerships.

Will engaging with RemoteAbility affect my benefits?

It depends on which benefits you receive. We provide guidance on Permitted Work rules, Universal Credit earnings disregards, and support you to notify DWP correctly.

Can employers hire RemoteAbility graduates directly?

Yes! We support direct placements where participants move into salaried roles with partner organizations. See our Partner With Us page.

Do you work across the whole UK?

Yes! We're fully remote, so we support people anywhere in the UK, coordinating with local services wherever you are.
