Refer Someone
If you know someone who is sleeping rough, at risk of losing their home, recovering from addiction, or facing barriers as a disabled or neurodivergent person, we can help.
Before You Refer
Who Can Refer, and What Helps
✅ Who Can Refer Someone
- ✓Jobcentre Plus work coaches
- ✓Local council housing and homelessness teams
- ✓Charities and support organisations
- ✓Support workers, key workers and outreach teams
- ✓GPs, health and mental-health services
- ✓Family members and friends
- ✓The person themselves, if they'd rather someone else made first contact
🔍 What's Helpful to Include
- Your details and relationship to the person, so we can follow up with you if appropriate.
- The person's situation, to the extent you know it and they're comfortable sharing.
- Urgent needs — e.g. immediate risk, housing status, existing support already in place.
- Consent — wherever possible, let the person know you're referring them, and what information you're sharing.
Don't have all of this? That's fine — send what you know and we'll take it from there.
Our Approach to Referrals
RemoteAbility does not provide emergency accommodation or clinical rehabilitation directly. When you refer someone to us, we get in touch with them, understand their situation, and provide supported navigation and advocacy — helping them access the right housing, recovery, benefits and employment services, and staying involved throughout.
